Northumbria is englands last frontier before reaching the northern lands of Scotland. With wild and rugged terrain you will feel like you are venturing into a forgotton area of England. This two day event will begin for most on the Friday evening having a social get together around the campfire or in the traditional local pub if the weather isn't so friendly. Both Saturday & Sunday will be spent exploring the wild lanes. We will be stopping on the saturday for a lite lunch and on the Sunday at a pub where Sunday lunch will be available. Throught the weekend you will get a feel for just how much of an acheivement it was to build the Hadrians wall, the landscape has changed very little since the days of its construction.
The routes will be of a moderate but non-damaging difficulty with one or two overgrown sections. Open to any kind of 4x4 with a Diff-Lock or Electronic traction control fitted. We recommend that you have All-terrain tyres fitted, however we have had vehicles on road tyres complete the route.
We will be running a figure of eight route allowing us to stop at the same campsite for both nights and finish there at the end of the weekend meaning you will only have to set up camp once.
Within 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from the campsite there is a pub which serves good food and real ale.
