About Free Spirit 4x4 Adventures & what makes us stand out from the crowd.
It's difficult to know where to start when describing the Free Spirit 4x4 Treasure Hunts, you could compare them with other events - but there really is nothing quite like them! You could say what they are not ... We do not do long distance endurance, tarmac tours, lads weeks away, unlike other companies we are not interested in including these elements in our events.
The best clue is in our name "Free Spirit 4x4". Yes you do need a 4x4 but not for the same reasons you do on a muddy play day in the UK. Many companies use this kind of off-road as a token to justify taking your 4x4 to Europe. With our events you need a 4x4 because most of the days are spent on remote tracks, not just to keep you amused and fill out the day but they are the route. We select our routes ensuring that they are both spectacular & enjoyable for all involved include features like river crossings, mountain ridge driving, and road building while still being suitable for all levels of modified vehicles, even factory standard vehicles.
Our trips touch on a kind of excitment and adventure not seen for many years in any events.
"Fun, Adventure, Challenge, The experience of a life time"
The Free Spirit element comes from the freedom to explore at your own pace and fun for all in the vehicle and not just the driver. Although our days do not include long distances you will be keen for an early start and with the routes planned almost certainly not be wanting to finish early. We do not set times where you must be, thus giving you time to explore the route and take the time to look at the things you want to look at and make those small diversions of which the very Free Spirit way of life is made from.
Our longer events such at the Pyrenean Adventure & the Scandinavian Adventure include various event long tasks that are designed for all your crew to be involved with (including children who are encouraged and included as team members). Additionally the multi-day events include optional activities (inclusive of your entry cost) such as white-water rafting, traditional meals & group BBQ's.
If you are looking for that true adventure derived from the experience and research of the Free Spirit 4x4 Adventure Team and not a packaged "synthetic" holiday or guided tour then one of our treasure hunts is for you. To see what we have available please visit our events page or talk to previous entrants on our events forum.
