Route 2: The Western (Atlantic) Pyrenees
Are you looking for more than just a guided tour to the Pyrenees? If you are looking for the experience of a life time packed with adventure & fun for all the family, then this is the event for you.
Experience the thrill, challenge and adventure of driving through the western Pyrenees. This area of the Pyrenees is packed full of culture, Adventure, spectacular drivng and tracks to leave your taste buds tingling. You will be following one of our carefully writen roadbooks each day filled with innovative clues and tasks. The week will begin in the beautiful Spanish town of Irun on the coast and then head deep into the mountains.
You will spend about 75% of your week on tracks, rivier beds & on occasions building your own roads. Each day you will set off around 9am and arrive at camp for around 4pm, along the route you will have time to stop and look at things.
The will be two support teams on the event which will meet you at various points throughout each ensuring that we are never far away from you should you need any assistance. Because you we don't do a follow my leader type event you feel as if you are the first to explore the area in many years.
We carry a wide range of spares suitable for you vehicle and many tools suitable for most jobs, it is still essential to take your own selection of spares and tools.
Mid-week we take a break in driving for the afternoon and will be going white water rafting near Jaca, this is optional, capped off by a group BBQ in the evening time (included in your entry cost)
Your entry cost will also include a traditional meal and your final nights meal as well as each nights camping including the night before and the final night. we will provide your road book and event clothing for each team member.
Each nights campsite is prebooked and paid for allowing for you to turn up and set up camp hassle free, we only choose campsites that are up to our standards with good clean facilities & the all important friendly relaxed atmosphere. One of the nights on the event there will be the option to go wild camping for the night, for those who are not so keen on this we have also booked a nearby campsite.
